Oh man… the dreaded about me page.

Business-wise, if you hired me, you’d be getting a copywriter that’s had 2+ years experience in social B2B, B2C, and direct-sales via email + social. With experience putting together strategies that combine social, lead-magnets, email sales sequences, and content ranging from video - to podcast - to carousels.

I’ve got a keen understanding of product/brand positioning, and have been the lead on social creation working closely with designers. Plus, I’ve managed B2B + B2C social accounts across platforms (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).

Tools I can use: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, CapCut, VideoLeap, Opus Clips, Figma, Miro, Trello, Jira, Notion… and so on.

Before you ask, no I didn’t go to college.

But, I have worked tons of jobs that make me feel pretty damn lucky I’ve become a copywriter. It’s hard work being a tobacco planter, fish cutter, pizza maker, coffee-slinger.

When possible, I try to learn from people I admire. I spent 2 years working with and learning from Chris Do at The Futur.

Signed up for the Audacious School of Astonishing Pursuits by advertising legend Jason Bagley (you know, Old Spice, Life360…. legend).

Non-work stuff:

  • Bought a sweet espresso machine with my first writing paycheck

  • Have a thing for the song ‘Lightning Crashes’ by Live.

  • My grandparents have never had internet (yes, they live in the country)

  • I grew up on a small vegetable farm (yes, it was hard work)

  • Last year I bought a 1979 Cutlass Supreme t-top with a 305 engine.

  • I live 1.5 hours from Toronto (would totally commute)

  • Went to see the Yayoi Kusama exhibit at the AGO… made me feel like I need to be part of an interactive advertising campaign before this is all through.
